Case study – Pulse, UK

Pulse Community RadioPulse 98.4 is a not-for-profit community radio station broadcasting from Barrhead near Glasgow, UK. The Station is run by the community for the community with a large focus on community participation and training.

Clyde Broadcast was able to work with the station management team from an early stage of the project to assess the potential building and making recommendations on Layout, contraction and design.

The station required technology for the novice & trainee presenters that would be simple and easy to use,  Yet the technology also had to deliver high quality audio and features the more experience broadcasters would expect.

Recording and broadcasting local live music was part of the stations strategy for community engagement so this was incorporated into the design.

The system developed based round a Synergy on-air studio with a second multipurpose studio for music recording, production and back-up
