Five Top Tips – Choosing the Ideal Studio Location

If you want to start a new radio station, choosing the right location is just as important as your FM transmission or radio studio equipment. Not all broadcasters are fortunate enough to choose the ideal premises. Your studio location should:
  1. Not be on a flight path or near an airport
  2. Not be next to a railway line or main arterial road with heavy duty traffic
  3. Not be next to an elevator inside a building
  4. Be in a building with solid concrete floors and ceilings
  5. Be in a building with a solid floor and sufficient height to allow a new ceiling to be constructed on top of studio walls

And a bonus tip:

It is very easy to waste money on the construction of studios; it is a specialised subject and taking professional advice is highly recommended. A popular, more cost-effective and trustworthy method is Clyde Broadcast’s new modular acoustic studio booths.
